SKY TOP :)

We enjoyed a beautiful fall day at the apple orchard.  We picked apples, enjoyed a scenic hay ride, and chowed down on some apple cider donuts and apple cider slushes.  Apple picking has become one of our favorite fall traditions.

Madelyn: “What am I doing?”

  • I am talking up a STORM!!!  I am using all kinds of catchy phrases that I hear other people say and I make up some of my own…I usually end my sentences by saying “all day long” or “OHHH YEAAA!”  For example:  “I want to ride my bike all day long.” or “I want to watch Woody (Toy Story 3) all day long.”  “Mommy, I want to eat lunch with Daddy and Michael, go to TJ Maxx and Target and get a slushy and a popcorn, then go mall, and playground, take a bath, watch movie, go night-night, OHHH YEAAA!”
  • I love to make lists and schedule my day as you saw above.
  • I still eat like a bird and Mommy doesn’t know how I stay alive.  She just gives me vitamins and hopes for the best.
  • I love the CLEMSON TIGERS and I am learning lots of cheers.
  • I am learning to share with my friends at school after I had to sit in the time out chair and Mrs. Ulmer sent a note home to Mommy.
  • I love to paint with water colors and finger paints.
  • I am fairly good at getting myself dressed and putting on my socks and shoes.  It may take me forever, but by golly, I will do it MYSELF!
  • I am buckling myself in the car seat, but Mommy and Daddy check to make sure I do it right.
  • I go to big girl potty at school, but refuse to at home, it makes Mommy very exhausted and frustrated.
  • And yes I still love my paci at night time and Mommy will never take it away because I won’t let her!!!!!

Baylor: “What am I doing?”

  • I am pulling up on everything around me, even if it is not so sturdy.  I have no limits!  And I cry A LOT when I fall.
  • I have perfected the army commando crawl and I help Mommy sweep the floor all at the same time.
  • I am saying “Ma Ma,” “Da Da,” and “Ho Ho Ho,” in preparation for Santa to come.
  • I love swinging outside and riding in the wagon or stroller.
  • I love to drop things on the floor constantly so I can watch Mommy pick them up over and over and over...
  • I like to ride Madelyn’s big girl horse, but I am not quite as brave as she is on it.
  • I am finally holding my own bottle on a regular basis.
  • I still only have two teeth.
  • My Daddy is teaching me to wrestle and I LOVE IT!
  • AND……..I AM FINALLY SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT (most of the time)!!!!

Madelyn’s First Football Game (as a “Big Girl”)

Yes, Dustin and I decided to do the unthinkable and take a 2 year old to a hot sticky September football game in Death Valley.  She went to fan appreciation day and just loved it, so we thought we would give it a try.   “MommyDaddy, I love Clemson Tigers.”  She has been practicing her cheers and knows them well.  So, despite everyone telling us otherwise, we packed up the Sienna (as embarrassed as Dustin was about taking a minivan tailgating) and headed to Tiger Town.

Overall Madelyn did Great, maybe it had to do with the $36 dollars we spent at the concession stand on dippin dots, snow cones, and popcorn.  In the stands she cheered appropriately, shouting “Clemson” and “N”  when it was our turn.  She even did the wave and made sure to put on a show for all those around us with her unreciprocated dance moves.   The heat became unbearable, so we left at the end of the third quarter and walked 15 miles back to our parking place because we had to take a path that would accommodate a stroller.  She fell asleep before we could finish buckling her in.
